MARBEFES at BIOcean5D 3rd GA
MARBEFES will be featured at the upcoming 3rd General Assembly of BIOcean5D, a multidisciplinary project uniting 31 partners across 11 countries to investigate marine life across the five dimensions of three-dimensional space, time, and human impact.
Participation in this Assembly offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen links between the two sister projects and to exchange perspectives on how marine biodiversity research can better inform policy and governance. As part of the programme, MARBEFES will be presented through a dedicated lecture entitled “Explain links between biodiversity, ecosystem functioning, ecosystem services and societal benefits, and deliver a validated set of tools within the MARBEFES Toolbox to support marine policy and governance.” by prof. Jan W. Pawłowski, IO PAN.
Through this exchange, MARBEFES and BIOcean5D will reinforce synergies and collaborative pathways across European marine research initiatives.
The meeting will be held on 2-4 February 2026 IFREMER marine station, Sète, France
