The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) is a State Agency for scientific research and technological development and the main agent responsible for implementing the Spanish System for Science, Technology and Innovation. The beneficiary IMEDEA is one of CSIC research centres, located in Mallorca (Balearic Islands, Spain), that includes investigations in several marine disciplines (physics, geology, biology, chemistry and technological development) in the Mediterranean and worldwide.
