Socio-cultural valuation fieldtrip in Sardinia

On 1 to 5 December 2024, Dr. Ashley Cahillane visited the Sardinian BBT to collect new information for her socio-cultural ecosystem valuation activities, and to discuss some of the results with the Sardinian CNR team. 

We spent time walking around the coasts and beaches of the Sardinian BBT and interviewing with paper questionnaires the people who visit and/or live in this area. 

We collected a lot of information from many local and visiting stakeholders and it was interesting to combine the different expertise of ecologists and humanists, sharing knowledge and opinions.

This information, once organised and analysed, will be a valuable contribution to the MARBEFES project by providing insights into how the population perceives and values the local natural environment.
